Step 9 · Clean and Store the Iron

After the iron has cooled completely, turn it upside down and drain any remaining water from the reservoir. Wipe down the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth if necessary to remove any residue. Store the iron upright in a safe, dry place, ensuring the cord is not tightly wrapped around the iron in a way that could damage it.
