Step 6 · Iron Skirts and Dresses

For skirts, start at the waistband and work your way down, ironing in sections. For dresses, iron the bodice, sleeves (if any), and then the skirt portion, similar to ironing a shirt and skirt combined. Use the tip of the iron to navigate around seams, darts, and embellishments. For gathered or pleated skirts, iron between the pleats or use a steam function to relax wrinkles.
